One of RWD’s distinguishing and guiding principles is both simple and powerful: We must be learning continuously. As a company and community of professionals, we know that each employee is an integral part of our success. That’s why we invest heavily to provide our employees with outstanding developmental opportunities. What’s more, we encourage this personal development by giving our people the tools and training they need to achieve excellence.
RWD offers employees a number of internal and external training opportunities, online classes, and access to RWD University:
RWD Orientation
All new employees are required to attend a two-day RWD New Employee Orientation program. This program offers all of our new employees a solid foundation of our company through an overview of our, history and philosophy. We also provide employees with the necessary tools and resources to be successful from the first day they join our organization.
In addition, group-specific orientation programs support employees as they begin to work within specific RWD business units, including New Employee Orientation for Sales, Enterprise Learning Solutions Orientation, and role-specific on-the-job training.
Learning & Development Programs

RWD provides learning and development opportunities to support employees in many aspects of their development, particularly in the area of our project management, RWD specific products, leadership development and professional and technical skills enhancement. Our internal learning management system, RWD University, is able to offer numerous eLearning courses that are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to our employees. Instructor-led learning events are scheduled throughout the year based on employee needs.
Education Assistance Program
We encourage our employees to further their education in areas that contribute to increasing the Company's technical and managerial capabilities.
Under our program, RWD reimburses for qualifying tuition and direct academic fees for up to two courses per academic year.
These include:
• Undergraduate-level courses leading to a bachelor's or associate's degree
• Academic courses directly related to the job but that do not necessarily lead to a degree
• Graduate-level courses leading to an advanced degree in an area related to the job
Professional Memberships
RWD encourages employees to expand their knowledge, remain current in their field, and participate in professional organizations that have programs and activities related to their job responsibilities. RWD supports this practice by paying for a professional membership and/or a subscription to a professional publication.
Professional Certifications
RWD supports external training and certification opportunities through which employees will be able to further develop their job-related skills.
Performance and Talent Management Program
RWD wants employees to be recognized and rewarded for hard work, and have a clearly outlined career path. Our performance management system allows visibility of individual goals and how they relate to the organization’s strategy. Employees understand why their work matters, and feel more engaged in their jobs.
RWD believes that the performance of each employee is critical to the overall success of our Company. Performance appraisals are conducted annually for all employees. Employees who excel are recognized and rewarded.
