The risk of equipment-related injury
in the U.S. workplace is astonishing. In a four-year period, an average of 144
fatalities occurred per year, as a result of running machinery. During the same
period, more than 80,000 cases of non-fatal machine-related injuries also took
place each year, resulting in lost productivity.

Emergency
Response Training System
Emergency response is an important
element of workplace safety. To avoid catastrophic events, you must identify
what could go wrong and what the impact might be. Worst-case scenario responses
must be practiced by the crew, and metrics on responses should be studied and
presented to the crew as feedback for self-assurance, or room for improvement.
RWD’s Emergency Response Training
System, based on more than 20 years of experience and a proven methodology,
allows facilities to consistently and effectively train personnel on emergency
events and evaluate their operational response to those critical scenarios. The
system consists of tools and processes that will integrate with, and support,
existing training goals for emergency response.
The Emergency Response Training
System is flexible in its design, so that exercises can be customized to meet
specific needs, while maintaining consistency in delivering training across a
unit or platform working in conjunction with site emergency programs. The
training includes a series of realistic problem situations, scenarios and upset
conditions. The purpose of each of the drills is to respond as if it were
a real emergency.
